This new modem is claimed to be faster and more power-efficient than its predecessor, providing better stability with an upgraded software stack. If the reports are accurate, the Pixel 9 series will be the first to support Android’s native satellite implementation in Android 15, initially through a partnership between T-Mobile and SpaceX, with more providers potentially joining later.
