Google has officially launched the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL during its Made By Google event on Tuesday. These flagship smartphones are equipped with the latest Tensor G4 SoC in conjunction with the Titan M2 security chip. Each model boasts an IP68 rating, ensuring protection against water and dust. Furthermore, the devices are committed to receiving seven years of Android OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops. The standard Pixel 9 offers 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL feature 16GB of RAM. The base model includes a dual rear camera setup, whereas the Pro versions offer a triple rear camera system.
Pricing in India
The Pixel 9 is priced at Rs. 79,999 for the single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant available in India, offered in Peony, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Wintergreen colours. Notably, the 128GB variant will not be sold in the country.
The Pixel 9 Pro will retail at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage model, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is available for Rs. 1,24,999 for the same storage option. Both Pro models come in Hazel, Porcelain, Rose Quartz, and Obsidian hues.
The Pixel 9 series will be accessible for purchase through Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital starting from August 22.

The dual SIM (nano+eSIM) Pixel 9 operates on Android 14, guaranteeing seven years of OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops. The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL share the same SIM configuration, software, and chipset as the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 Pro sports a 6.3-inch (1280 x 2856) Super Actua (LTPO) OLED display with a pixel density of 495ppi, a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro XL offers a larger 6.8-inch (1,344 x 2,992) SuperActua (LTPO) OLED display with a pixel density of 486ppi and similar peak brightness capabilities.
Both models are equipped with a triple rear camera unit, including a 50-megapixel Octa PD wide camera, a 48-megapixel Quad PD ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel Quad PD telephoto camera, featuring up to 30x Super Res Zoom and 5x optical zoom. A 42-megapixel Dual PD selfie camera with autofocus is present for front-facing photography and video calls.
The Pro models support 8K video recording at 30fps, retain the IP68 rating, and share identical connectivity options with the Pixel 9. However, the Pro variants include an additional temperature sensor and come with an Ultra-Wideband chip.
