Colt DCS Plans to Extend Data Center Campus in Hayes, West London

<b>Colt DCS to Expand Hayes Campus to Meet Surging Demand</b>” width=”1200″ height=”800″><br />Colt Data Centre Services (<b>Colt DCS</b>) has announced plans to more than double the capacity of the London Hayes Data Centre campus. The company has acquired land next to its existing site at Hayes, West London, in response to increased customer demand. This expansion will establish the campus as one of the largest in the UK.</p>
<h2><b>Capacity Doubling</b></h2>
<p>Colt is currently developing the initial phase of the campus, which will include two buildings providing 60 MW of IT capacity. Construction began last year, with phase one expected to be completed by Q3 2025.</p>
<p>Furthermore, Colt DCS has secured a second site adjacent to the current location for an additional expansion. This new phase will more than double the capacity of the London Hayes Data Centre campus, although specific details of this stage have not been disclosed.</p>
<h2><b>Renewable Energy Focus</b></h2>
<p><b>Colt DCS</b> stated in a release, “This expansion will transform the entire site into one of the largest in the UK and will mark Colt DCS’ largest multi-building data centre campus globally. In addition to acquiring land, Colt DCS has also secured renewable energy-based power supply to meet the demands of the new site. The expanded campus will be well-equipped to handle the increasing demand for large-scale, high-density AI workloads.”</p>
<p><b>Colt Data Centre Services</b> commented, “The demand for UK-based hyperscale data centers continues to rise due to the growth in digital services. Customers require scalable data center solutions to keep up with the rapidly evolving digital landscape. We are optimistic about the UK Government’s initiatives to enhance the digital economy on a global scale, and our expansion in Hayes will contribute to the country’s capacity and capability for growth.”</p>
