Trai proposes compensation to consumers for call drops

TraiRelief may be on its way for the nagging call drops with telecom regulator Trai seeking suggestions for compensating customers for deficient services on mobile phones. Not charging for dropped calls or providing free calling minutes were suggestions made by regulator in a consultation paper for which it is seeking comments.
The growing proportion of call drops at a time of rising phone bills and growing public outrage has seen concern even from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has asked the telecom ministry to fix the issue promptly. Source
