Difficult to do business in India, says Vodafone

September 28, 2014

VodafoneVodafone, the world’s second-largest telecom service provider by subscribers, said Thursday that slow government clearances had made it difficult for foreign companies to do business in India, even as the company continues to face taxation issues in the country.

The UK-based telco, which has invested about $20 billion in India, said the Indian government should accelerate the decision-making process and facilitate market consolidation to improve the sector, which has been reeling under spectrum constraints. Source
